Performance Profile

In the Plastic Sheets Division, problems are solved for the following main business fields:

• Coating of plain materials (e.g. textiles, paper, sheeting) with plastics (e.g. plastified PVC, PU, acrylates, copolymers) by application of solutions, dispersions, plastisols, high-solid matters, hot-melt materials etc.
• Foamed layers (chemical and physical expanding agents)
• Microcellular foams (coagulation, gasing extrusion)
• Powder scattering and spraying
• Plain sheeting extrusion and extrusion coating
• Compounding
• Pretreatment and modification of plastic material surfaces (corona, low-pressure plasma, gaseousphase fluorination)
• Thinnest-film coating of plastic sheetings with polymers, metals, metal oxides, i.a. by plasma polymerization and sputtering
• Functional sheetings and coats (e. g. electrically conductive, selectively reflecting or transparent in dependence on wave length a.o.)
• Flexible layers made from radiation-curing systems
• Use of regrowing raw materials in the manufacture of plastic webs (e. g. alternative plastifiers).
