NanoCarbon Annual Conference

The NanoCarbon Annual Conference of the NanoCarbon network is the communication and networking platform for nanocarbon specialists in Germany and Europe. Our institute will present itself as an exhibitor and also contribute to the conference programme.

Dr. Kristin Trommer and Martin Heise, together with colleagues from the Institute for Solid State and Material Research Dresden, have developed flat, flexible Peltier elements that provide active cooling, but are so thin and yet robust that they can be processed into textile laminates. The basis of the Peltier elements is a polyurethane layer into which n- or p-doped carbon nanotubes are incorporated. This is practical for police or THW uniforms, who also have to wear their thick protective equipment in summer.

Dr. Martin Heise will talk about this project in his presentation "Digital printing of n- and p-doped CNT polymer composites for flexible Peltier coolers".

About the conference:

For the 9th time, the NanoCarbon network is organising the annual conference. During the two-day event, experts from industry and research come together to share their results and ideas on this open communication and networking platform. Find out about innovative and commercial activities in the field of carbon nanomaterials (e.g. CNTs, graphenes, nanodiamonds, nanohorns, carbon black). The annual conference is also aimed at industry representatives who are looking for new trends and partners for new collaborations and projects. We would like to invite you to meet international nanocarbon specialists in Würzburg.
