Our test laboratory performs testing according to Tesla TM-1003 for the characterization and verification of polycarbonate/styrenic copolymer blends (PC/S) used in automotive applications.
The Tesla material specification TM-1003 defines the physical, mechanical, thermal and ageing-related requirements for PC/S materials, which are primarily used for visible and functional interior components as well as other plastic parts in vehicles. To verify compliance with these material requirements, the specification references a wide range of standardized test methods, including tensile, flexural and impact testing, heat deflection temperature, coefficient of thermal expansion, artificial weathering, heat ageing, flammability testing, and VOC and fogging emission testing.
