Certification allows testing services for VW suppliers worldwide
Since the beginning of April 2021, the Accredited Testing Laboratory at FILK Freiberg Institute gGmbH has successfully completed the VW certification process as a testing service provider. The certification process included extensive proof of competence, an on-site audit and participation in numerous round robin tests. The FILK testing laboratory thus meets the demanding quality standards for the provision of testing services for suppliers of the VW Group.
According to the certificate, the institute is allowed to test all materials and material composites that are typically used in automotive interiors, such as leather, textiles, coated textiles, plastics and composites thereof. The certification, which is valid for 3 years, includes above all mechanical-physical tests and ageing tests such as PV 1303 and 1306 or climate change resistance according to PV 1200 and 2005. It also includes abrasion and wear resistance tests. Another certificate, initially valid for one year, refers to the safety-relevant testing of burning behaviour according to TL 1010.
In addition, the accredited testing laboratory also took part in separate round robin tests according to VW 50180 specification. These were also successfully passed, so that selected emission tests can also be offered.
