With more than 25 years of service at FILK, you are one of the colleagues who have accompanied our institute on its long journey since its privatisation. The experience you brought with you from industry was invaluable. As an industrial foreman for plastics and rubber technology and head of our plastics technology center, you helped shape the further development of our research technology with your technical and professional expertise, accompanied countless research projects and material developments for our industrial partners and, last but not least, ensured that we lived up to our reputation as an industrial research institution. Matthias Warnecke is handing over today to Martin Schneider, who has been part of our team for 8 years and has already headed the Thermoplastechnikum since 2020. As the new head of the technical centre from 01.12.2022, he will advise on technological issues in polymer processing and be available as a contact person for trials in our technical centres. We wish him every success in this endeavour!
