Data analysis / simulation

In the course of digitalisation the virtual description of materials and material compounds, construction components and products becomes more and more important. To date, for materials such as leather, imitation leather, plastics, biopolymers and other natural materials there are hardly any reliable methods available.

Simulations on different size scales are used to analyse structure-property-relationships, clarify processes on atomic level, interpret experimental measurement data and predict material properties.

Experimental and simulated data are used to derive generally accepted correlations and to describe them on the basis of models in a mathematical way.
