Our accredited testing lab performs testing according to DIN EN ISO 17070 (Leather – Chemical tests – Determination of pentachlorophenol, its salts, and esters) professionally.
The test method according to ISO 17070 involves distillation, extraction, and chromatographic analysis of leather samples to quantitatively determine chlorinated phenol compounds.
This test method is also required in the automotive sector (e.g., Daimler/Mercedes-Benz, Renault …) as well as in quality and testing specifications for furniture according to German RAL‑GZ 430.
The following chemical compounds are tested:
2-Chlorphenol, 3-Chlorphenol, 4-Chlorphenol, 2,3-Dichlorphenol, 2,4-Dichlorphenol, 2,5-Dichlorphenol, 2,6-Dichlorphenol, 3,4-Dichlorphenol, 3,5-Dichlorphenol, 2,3,4-Trichlorphenol, 2,3,5-Trichlorphenol, 2,3,6-Trichlorphenol, 2,4,5-Trichlorphenol, 2,4,6-Trichlorphenol, 3,4,5-Trichlorphenol, 2,3,4,5-Tetrachlorphenol, 2,3,4,6-Tetrachlorphenol, 2,3,5,6-Tetrachlorphenol, Pentachlorphenol
