TERMIS-EU 2026

TERMIS 2026 is an international scientific conference focused on advances in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. The conference brings together researchers, clinicians, and industry experts to discuss innovations in biomaterials, stem cells, biofabrication, and translational therapies. Its aim is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and accelerate the clinical application of regenerative technologies.

Claudia Dietze will give a presentation on "Multilayered GBR Membranes with Mucoadhesive and Osteoinductive Properties." This presentation will showcase current findings on the development of a multilayered GBR membrane with mucoadhesive and osteoinductive properties. This novel resorbable membrane is designed to biomimetically replicate the transition from hard to soft tissue through its multilayered structure.

At Termis EU 2026, Evelyn Knappe will present a new poster:

The aim of the study was to develop a plasma-assisted method for depositing ultrathin, mechanically stable collagen coatings for implants that preserves the biological activity of the collagen. Using a non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma, collagen layers below 100 nm were applied to titanium and polymer surfaces. The coatings exhibited high adhesion and stability for at least 14 days, improved surface hydrophilicity, and were non-cytotoxic. Cell experiments with osteoblast-like cells showed improved cell adhesion, proliferation, and osteogenic differentiation. Overall, the method represents a scalable, cost-effective way to create bioactive implant surfaces and improve the integration of orthopedic and dental implants.
