Testing Series FILK Ident
With its FILK Ident testing series, the FILK Freiberg Institute is consolidating its identification and characterization testing services for bio-based materials into a modular portfolio that addresses a growing market bottleneck: For next-generation materials, there is often a disconnect between communication and verification. Terms like "bio-based," "animal-free," "sustainable," or "innovative" are quickly adopted in external communications—but without consistent testing and data logic, they often remain mere marketing promises that are difficult to verify along the supply chain.
The FILK Ident testing series translates marketing claims into verifiable values. This ranges from established animal species identification through FILK animal Ident to FILK veg Ident and other, primarily biological, tests currently under development. The goal is not to award labels, but to provide neutral analysis—scientifically sound, independent, and objective.
FILK Ident bridges the gap between claim and evidence – and structures results so that they can be used in digital material profiles, audits and supply chain processes.
