About our contributions to ETCC 2026 in Prague
Presentation: Our colleague, Dr. Linda Köhler, will present two approaches to reducing organic solvents in PLA-based coatings in her presentation "PLA-based Barrier Coatings for Flexible Synthetic Leather." The focus will be on the development of water-based PLA dispersions and the synthesis of PLA copolymers to increase the solids content and improve adhesion to PVC-coated materials.
Poster: Dr. Andrea Winkler will present the development of a transparent and permanently antistatic coating for flexible polymer-coated materials in her poster "Transparent and Permanently Antistatic Surfaces." The focus will be on the use of PEDOT:PSS as an intrinsically conductive polymer to enable reliable electrical dissipation without significantly affecting the transparency and color of the substrates. She will also demonstrate that, unlike conventional systems, the antistatic effect is not influenced by humidity.
