Techtextil Forum 2022

Dr. Martin Heise will present the results of a research project with his lecture "Polyurethane-CNT-composites for flexible surface-heated textiles in automotive sector". The scope of this development is the incorporation of conductive additives such as CNTs and carbon fibres into a polyurethane (PU) matrix for the scalable R2R-production of heatable, stretchable, bendable, and with textiles laminated PU-composites. Conductive films with a thickness of 50 to 150 µm were prepared in R2R-processes in semi-industrial scale using doctor blade methods. Additionally, flexible PU-silver electrodes were printed on the PU-Films. Between the electrodes, a potential field is generated. With voltages < 48 V the composites heat up to 100 °C.

About the Forum

The Techtextil Forum in hall 9.1 focuses on current and future-oriented topics and is included in the ticket price. It covers topics such as Strategy, Medical and Hygiene Textiles, Smart Textiles, Architecture, Biobased Materials or Recycling.

Visitors, exhibiting companies, researchers, developers and users will be able to exchange ideas in lectures, discussions and interactive formats. Following the Techtextil Forum, the lectures will also be available on demand on the Techtextil Digital Extension.
