Emission analysis of one Substance (similar to VDA 278 or VDA 277)

Targeted emission analysis of individual organic substances based on VDA 278 or VDA 277

Our test laboratory offers targeted emission analysis of individual organic substances based on VDA 278 or VDA 277. The method is suitable when the complete emission profile of a material is not required and the investigation can instead be focused on a specific known or suspected compound.

Depending on the analytical objective, the investigation can be based on VDA 278 or VDA 277. VDA 278 is used for the detailed characterisation of organic material emissions by thermal desorption and GC-MS, whereas VDA 277 is used for the determination of volatile organic emissions by headspace gas chromatography. Both methods are offered by the FILK test laboratory as accredited test procedures.

For clearly defined analytical questions, the targeted analysis of individual substances can be performed with considerably less analytical effort and is therefore generally significantly less expensive than the respective full accredited test according to VDA 278 or VDA 277.

Further methods can be found in our overview of VDA tests and specifications for automotive interiors. The FILK accredited testing laboratory overview provides a general overview of our testing services and allows you to search specifically for further standards, specifications and test methods.
