MAN M 3594 Annex D (accredited)

Testing acc. to MAN M 3594 (D): Burning behaviour of materials - General requirements, material release, definitions - Appendix D: Test to determine the capability of materials to repel fuel or lubricant (normative)

Our test laboratory performs testing according to MAN M 3594, Annex D to determine the resistance of materials to fuel and lubricating oil penetration.

The test is used to evaluate the behaviour of materials when exposed to liquid automotive operating fluids, assessing whether fuel or lubricating oil is absorbed by the material surface or effectively repelled. It is particularly applicable to synthetic leather, coated textiles, textiles, foams and other non-metallic materials used in vehicle interiors or in areas where contact with operating fluids may occur.

The test is carried out in accordance with ECE R118, Annex 9 and supports the demonstration of fire safety compliance for materials used in commercial vehicles.
