Our test laboratory performs testing according to MS 300‑08 under accredited conditions. This manufacturer-specific specification from Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors Corporation defines requirements and test methods for evaluating the fire behavior of non-metallic interior materials. The purpose of the test is to assess the burn rate and flame spread of plastics, textiles, foams, leather, and coated surfaces to ensure safety in the vehicle interior.
Testing is conducted on standardized specimens under defined climatic conditions. The specimen is positioned horizontally, exposed to a standardized flame, and the flame propagation rate is measured. Self-extinguishing and non-burning behavior are also recorded.
