NES M0094 NISSAN fire test (accredited)

Test Method of Flammability of Interior Materials for Automobiles

Our test laboratory performs accredited testing according to Nissan Engineering Standard NES M0094 (test method for the flammability of automotive interior materials). This manufacturer-specific standard describes a standardized procedure for evaluating the burning behaviour of vehicle interior materials.

The purpose of NES M0094 is to determine the flammability, flame propagation, and burning duration of materials used in automotive interior applications.

NES M0094 is an OEM-specific fire test closely related to FMVSS 302 / ISO 3795.

The focus is on:

• flammability under defined point ignition exposure
• horizontal flame propagation
• self-extinguishing behaviour

The methodology is aligned with international automotive fire testing standards but applies manufacturer-specific classification and acceptance criteria.
