Our laboratory performs the Volvo test according to STD 429 0001 (odor of automotive interior materials) professionally and with a short turnaround time. The test is used to assess the odor behavior of materials under defined temperature and climate conditions.
In the test report from our laboratory, odor characteristics are documented both as a graded evaluation and as a descriptive assessment.
The results provide valuable information for material selection, product development, and quality assurance. Typical applications include interior materials in the automotive industry, such as leather and coated textiles seat covers, interior textiles, and foams.
