Package 1 of our test laboratory comprises chemical testing of leather and leather fibre materials with regard to substances of very high concern (SVHC- Substance of Very High Concern) in accordance with the current Candidate List of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) under the REACH Regulation.
It is intended for manufacturers, traders and importers who wish to efficiently test their leather products for regulatory relevant substances and ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements.
As part of the analytical scope, the following substance groups are investigated, among others: alkylphenols (AP, OP), alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEO, NPEO, OPEO), bisphenols, brominated flame retardants, chlorinated paraffins, siloxanes and cyclosiloxanes, carcinogenic disperse dyes, chromium (VI), per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS), plasticizers (phthalates), residual solvents, aldehydes and melamine.
