Testing for the German Bundeswehr – Requirements for leather and equipment materials for military uses
Our test laboratory performs tests in accordance with the Technical Delivery Conditions (Technische Lieferbedingungen, TL) of the Bundeswehr. These tests are used to evaluate leather and material properties for military equipment, particularly in the areas of footwear, clothing, protective gear, and functional equipment.
The Bundeswehr TL define binding requirements for materials such as upper leather, lining leather, and specialized service leathers (e.g., for boots, gloves, helmets, caps, and equipment items). The focus is especially on durability, protective performance, and resistance under extreme operational conditions.
