The Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) are U.S. vehicle safety standards that define safety-related requirements for vehicles, materials and components. For flexible polymeric materials, particular emphasis is placed on the flammability behaviour of materials used in vehicle interiors.
FILK performs testing according to FMVSS specifications for material development, product approval and quality assurance within the automotive industry.
