Ford (esp. automotive interiors)

The Ford standards (FLTM – Ford Laboratory Test Methods) define requirements for materials and components used in automotive applications, particularly in vehicle interiors. Key areas include emissions and odour behaviour, flammability, and the physical and mechanical properties of plastics, elastomers, leather, artificial leather, textiles, foams and composite materials.

The FILK testing laboratory performs testing according to Ford specifications for material development, product approval and quality assurance within the automotive industry. The scope of services includes, in particular, emission testing, flammability testing and other material-specific investigations for assessing the suitability of materials and components for automotive and interior applications.

The tests available at FILK lab in accordance with Ford standards are listed below.
