FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) define the legally binding safety requirements for motor vehicles and vehicle components in the United States. For automotive interior materials, the flammability test according to FMVSS 302 is of particular importance.
UN ECE Regulations provide the basis for international vehicle type approval in many European countries and numerous markets worldwide. They include requirements for the fire performance of materials used in public transport vehicles as well as many other safety-related vehicle components.
VSTD (Vehicle Safety Testing Directions) are Taiwan's statutory vehicle safety regulations. They are largely aligned with the UN ECE Regulations and serve as the basis for the type approval of vehicles and vehicle components for the Taiwanese market.
IMO FTP Code (International Maritime Organization – Fire Test Procedures Code) specifies mandatory fire testing procedures for materials and equipment used on board ships. These tests demonstrate compliance with international maritime fire safety requirements.
