Testing according to PSA Standards (esp. for automotive / car interior)
Our test laboratory performs testing according to specifications of the former PSA Group, now part of the Stellantis Group (brands: Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Opel and Vauxhall).
Tested properties and areas include:
Emission behaviour and interior air quality (determination of volatile organic compounds (VOC), semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOC) and condensable emissions (fogging) from vehicle interior materials and components)
Aldehydes and carbonyl compounds (analysis of formaldehyde as well as other aldehydes and ketones for the evaluation of interior emissions and compliance with manufacturer-specific requirements)
Amine emissions and other volatile constituents (determination of emission-relevant nitrogen-containing compounds and other volatile substances released from polymeric materials, foams, adhesives and coatings)
Odour behaviour of materials and components (sensory assessment of materials, components and assemblies with regard to odour-relevant emissions affecting vehicle interior quality)
Flammability and fire behaviour (testing of flame propagation and burning rate of non-metallic materials to assess their suitability for vehicle interior applications)
Chemical material characterisation (analysis of volatile and extractable constituents as well as investigation of material-specific emission sources in plastics, elastomers, foams, textiles, leather and composite materials)
Evaluation of materials and components for interior applications (assessment of the suitability of materials for use in safety-, comfort- and quality-related vehicle interior areas, taking into account emission, odour and flammability requirements)
Testing of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished components (investigations along the entire value chain – from individual materials and composite structures to fully manufactured components)
