World's largest trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, Techtextil, in Frankfurt/Germany
That's it again, a week ago the world's largest trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, Techtextil, closed its doors in Frankfurt. Coupled with Texprocess, the trade fair duo was able to shine with records at its 20th anniversary edition. Strong growth was recorded with 1,700 exhibitors from 53 countries and 38,000 visitors from 102 nations. The density of innovative textile solutions based on artificial intelligence and the clear focus on sustainable materials and technologies were also record-breaking. The two trade fairs thus underline the dynamic growth and transformational power of the industry.
“Sustainable, recyclable composite materials – new paths for technical textiles”
For our institute, Techtextil is the most important industry trade fair and an integral part of the event calendar. This year our trade fair appearance was under the heading “Sustainable, recyclable composite materials – new paths for technical textiles”. The institute takes a holistic approach that considers all technological and material aspects. Definitely a perfect landing: our trade fair team from the scientific sector had a lot to do over the four days.
But our colleagues in our testing laboratory were also popular conversation partners. The transformation in the textile industry also raises new questions regarding material testing, which were discussed extensively at our stand.
