From material to component - FILK expands its testing capacities in the field of environmental simulation

Expanded testing infrastructure for large-volume climate tests

The FILK Freiberg Institute has expanded its testing infrastructure with a 1,500-liter climate test chamber. This now enables realistic constant climate and alternating climate tests on complete components and large-scale components.

Realistic stress tests under controlled conditions

The new test facility allows for the precise simulation of a wide range of climatic conditions – from tropical heat and high humidity to dry cold. Its large dimensions allow for testing entire components and systems under realistic conditions.

APPLICATION FOCUS AUTOMOTIVE

The expanded testing infrastructure offers new possibilities, especially for the automotive sector: Whether it's instrument panels, door panels, or seating systems – tests are conducted according to current OEM standards, including:

DBL 5471 | PV 1200, PV 2005 | VW 96238 / PTL 8140 | PR 303.6 | PR 308.2.

This allows for reliable evaluation of material and component behavior, aging resistance, and dimensional stability under changing climatic conditions.

MORE FLEXIBILITY, MORE MEANINGFULNESS

With the new climate test chamber, FILK is expanding its offering with a powerful component for the qualification of materials and assemblies under real operating conditions – ideal for research, development and quality assurance.
