Recognized service provider for VW emissions tests according to VW standard 50180

With the successful participation in extensive ring tests, our accredited testing laboratory has once again qualified as a competent testing service provider for emissions tests according to VW standard 50180 for vehicle interior materials. This VW standard includes volatile organic substances (VOCs), total carbon, formaldehyde, fogging and odor.
As early as the end of 2023/beginning of 2024, our accredited testing laboratory was able to successfully complete the VW certification process as a testing service provider for a large number of physical tests. The certification process included extensive proof of competence, an on-site audit and participation in numerous ring tests. The FILK testing laboratory thus meets the demanding quality standards for providing testing services for suppliers to the VW Group.
Mechanical-physical tests and aging tests

In this context, our test laboratory is certified to test all materials and material composites that are typically used in automotive interiors, such as leather, textiles, coated textiles, plastics and composites thereof. The certification primarily includes mechanical-physical tests and aging tests such as PV 1303 and 1306 or the resistance to climate change according to PV 1200 and 2005. But it also includes abrasion and scratch tests as well as wear resistance and media resistance. Another certificate relates to the safety-relevant test of burning behavior according to TL 1010.
