IHK CHEMNITZ APPOINTS AND SWEARS IN FILK EMPLOYEE, ANTOANETA TROMMER, AS EXPERT FOR THE SUBJECT AREA "LEATHER AND COATED TEXTILES"
Antoaneta Trommer, Head of Working Group Material Failure Analysis
In July 2019, the President of the Chemnitz Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Dr. h.c.. Dieter Pfortner, publicly appointed and swore in Antoaneta Trommer as an expert for the subject area "Leather and Coated Textiles". The appointment was preceded by an extensive procedure in the course of which Ms. Trommer was able to demonstrate her special material competence.
Antoaneta Trommer began her work at FILK gGmbH in 1999 as a graduate chemical engineer and initially worked as a research assistant on leather-specific research topics. Later, she moved to the institute's accredited testing laboratory, where she established the working area of failure analysis and assessment and later also took over the management of this working group. Numerous special test methods and analysis systems are available at the Institute for the assessment of a wide range of damage and complaint issues.
With her appointment as an expert for "Leather and Coated Textiles", Ms. Trommer's IHK-certified expertise in the evaluation of damage and material failure cases is now available to the public and also stands up in court. Her expert opinions are always in demand when there is disagreement or uncertainty about the underlying causes of material defects or damage, such as discoloration, detachment of finishes and coatings, or flaws. This information can subsequently also support manufacturers in quality assurance and provide new impetus for the optimization of technologies and materials.
