Our test laboratory performs testing in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14087 professionally and in an accredited testing environment.

This test method is used to determine the bending force of leather. The standard defines a standardized procedure in which specimens are bent over a measuring bar under defined conditions, and the bending force at a specified bending angle is measured. The measurement is performed using the two-point bending method.

In the test report from our laboratory, in addition to the measured bending force (in mN or N), information on sample dimensions, bending angle, bending length, and test speed is provided. This allows reliable evaluation of the material’s flexibility, stiffness, and suitability for processing.

Testing according to standard DIN EN ISO 14087 is primarily applied to leather and leather-like materials that are subject to mechanical stress, such as for seat covers, interior trim, garment leather, or technical applications in the automotive and consumer goods sectors.
