GSO (Gulf Technical Regulation)

The GSO Technical Regulations of the Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) specify technical requirements for motor vehicles and vehicle components in the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). GSO 42 defines general requirements for motor vehicles and also includes requirements for the flammability of materials used in vehicle interiors. GSO 98 specifies requirements for the flammability of interior materials and the associated test method for determining horizontal burning behavior. The FILK testing laboratory performs tests in accordance with GSO 42 and GSO 98 and supports manufacturers and suppliers in the testing and qualification of materials and vehicle components for the GCC market.

Here you will find an overview of the issuing authorities and regulatory frameworks - including a large number of automobile companies - for which testing is carried out in the FILK laboratory.

Below you will find the GSO test methods offered by the FILK testing laboratory.
