Testing for Porsche – Tests / requirements for Vehicle Interiors
Our test laboratory has been performing tests according to specifications issued by Porsche AG for many years (including for approvals in this premium automotive sector).
Tested properties and areas of investigation:
Mechanical and structural material properties (deformation behavior, flexing performance, compression and tensile properties, and dimensional stability under realistic conditions)
Surface and quality assessment of leather and interior materials (evaluation after thermal or mechanical stress)
Thermal resistance and shrinkage behavior of leather (area shrinkage, dimensional changes, and structural alterations under heat exposure in accordance with PTL specifications)
Climatic resistance and aging behavior (performance under temperature and humidity exposure, combined climate cycling, effects on material structure and surface)
Emission and odor behavior in vehicle interiors (assessment of odor emissions and volatile organic compounds in accordance with PPV requirements)
Below you will find the relevant PTL, PN, and PPV specifications, as well as other important Porsche-relevant test methods from VDA, the Volkswagen Group and DIN standards.
