Our test laboratory performs tests for evaluating the penetration behaviour of materials. These investigations are used to assess the ingress of liquid media into materials as well as the resistance of surfaces under media exposure in application-oriented conditions.
The tests are applied in automotive interior applications to evaluate the behaviour of materials when exposed to water- or oil-based media. Test liquids specified by OEM requirements are applied in defined quantities and, after a fixed exposure time, assessed with regard to penetration behaviour, staining, and optical changes.
