Our testing lab performs testing according to Volkswagen VW PV 3015 promptly, professionally, and in accordance with accredited procedures.
The test method is suitable for liquid, pasty, powdery, and solid materials and serves to assess the fogging behavior of substances used in the vehicle interior. Typical test specimens include plastics, textiles, and leather.

The purpose of the PV 3015 test is to determine the amount of volatile components that are released under the influence of temperature and subsequently condense on cooler surfaces. This allows optical impairments such as windshield fogging, as well as odor and air quality issues, to be detected and evaluated at an early stage. In contrast to DIN 75201, which also describes reflectometric and haze-based methods, the PV 3015 exclusively determines the mass of condensable substances deposited on a glass plate before and after the test cycle (gravimetric evaluation).

This test is essential for material approvals, compliance with OEM specifications, supplier qualification, and quality assurance, also as part of standard VW 50180.
