With the certification of the new label "Furniture Made in Germany", our institute is expanding its range of services in the field of product monitoring and quality assurance. The quality label certifies the geographical origin of furniture from Germany according to RAL-RG 0191. Consumers can rely on the fact that products bearing this quality label have been manufactured in Germany.
With RAL 0191, the German Institute for Quality Assurance and Labelling (RAL) has summarised requirements and definitions that have been agreed with the German Furniture Industry Association (VDM) and the German Furniture Quality Association (DGM). The aim is to ensure that the essential manufacturing process, which gives the product its quality and characteristic properties, takes place in Germany.
Antoaneta Trommer, expert in the field of damage analysis at FILK and IHK-approved expert for leather and coated textiles, was trained by the two issuing associations for auditing. The core element of the inspection with regular monitoring is the recording of the products to be certified with components and suppliers, the design services rendered, existing systems to ensure product quality, proof of product quality and the manufacturing process. The detailed examination of the prerequisites takes place during an on-site factory inspection. Antoaneta Trommer is now available for consultation to interested furniture manufacturers.
